Our intent is to provide the services by holding as little personal data as possible.

Our commitment to our users and to our members is to secure any data that must be stored at akinity.org and not to disseminate that data to any third party.

Application

Data

The first thing to note is that akinity.org cannot access any of the data that you see in your installed instance of Ingendex. Indeed this  application was designed specifically to demonstate that data need not be centralised to be useful and shareable.

After having downloaded our software there need not be any further communication between your machine and our servers, nor with any third party. Specifically, all data that the application creates and maintains resides on your own machine and is secured (per Gears), through OS-level account security. You are solely responsible for securing and preserving that data.

Updates to our software may be offered from time to time. Updates will never be pushed to your machine. To take advantage of software updates, you may re-visit our web site and follow guidance there.
